For GrantWriters Only

On a major project proposal, I included in the last paragraph of my summary the total cost.  Should I go ahead and also include a specific amount that I am asking for, or should I let the funder(s) decide that on their own?

David, I go with putting in a specific amount that you are asking for. Many proposals ask for a budget that includes revenue projections, line-item expenses, and both full-project costs and the specific request. In the absence of that (if the funder isn't asking for an actual budget), I'd at least make the request. And I'd make it in the first paragraph rather than the last. Good luck!
Thank you Susan!
