Patrick: I support the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore, OK. I believe that they recently received grant funding to digitize their collection. I suggest you contact the Museum's Executive Director, Steve Gragert at sgragert@willrogers.com to find out what they did. Let Steve know that I referred you to him. Good luck! Andy

Aloha everyone~

I noticed that there hasn't been any activity in this group, so I thought that I would initiate and make a contribution.

Please feel free to share any updates on possible funding sources, as well as information related to historical preservation projects. I'm sure that many of us would benefit greatly from sharing info and knowledge!

To start off, here's the URL to the website of the Advisory Council on Historical Preservation (ACHP): http://www.achp.gov/index.html

You'll find some links to funding sources, initiatives, training and education.

That's my 50 cents for now!

Have a great weekend!

Hello fellow historic preservation supporters.

I am a freelance grant writer from Chicago.

I am currently searching for funding for a historic preservation educational program that is located in a historic building in a historic district.

The group needs both operational funds ("without strings attached") and capital funds to restore their huge campus and 5 buildings that are literally falling apart.

I am a huge fan of historic preservation, but this is my first foray into grant writing for preservation.

I hope to be able to learn some things from you and possibly be able to help you in some way. I'm in Chicago, so if you have any questions about the area I'm a native and an expert about the area so feel free to ask.

Thanks for allowing me to join your forum.
Cheers,
Maureen-
