hi barbara - what im working on for the museum is trying to get a grant writtenthat would provide me with the capital to purchase equipt to place our documentation onto electronic media. any thoughts on how to proceed? any input is greatly appreciated

Hey Museum & Science Center grant professionals...how's your fund raising going nowadays? Personally, I have a bunch of proposals out there and have been waiting and waiting for responses. We do a ton of cultivation, too, so we do expect most of these will be funded on some level. Patience...my life lesson.

Hey Patrick, you should definitely check out the website of the Grant Professionals Association. There's a conference next fall in Vegas that might interest you. In the meantime, if you have specific questions maybe we can help you through discussion here.

I'm new this site, grant writing and this group obviously. I work with the San Jose High Historical Project and have established a small museum in our high school. I am looking for advise and guidance as to securing help in navigating all the grant information to help our small project. Any advice is welcome.

You're welcome. I recently changed jobs and would like to connect with museum/sci center people now. It's similar to higher ed but not identical.
