I am Grant Professional Certified (GPC) through the Grant Professionals Association and I’m working on certification maintenance. In the certification maintenance handbook, it says that GPCs can earn CEUS through a mentorship with another GPC. I wanted to put my idea out there to see if any GPCs would be interested in doing this with me so that we can both earn CEUS.
The handbook says CEUS can be awarded for “assigned reading specific to the grants field” and “assigned writing.” I have a bookshelf full of grants-related books that I always mean to get around to reading, but never do. I thought this project might be a good way for me to finally get through them! My idea is to read four or five grants-related books, then write up a summary/report which will be submitted to my mentor. The mentor will review the report and respond with their thoughts/experience in a written report. We will each earn 1 CEU for every hour spent on this project.
I spoke with someone at the Grant Professionals Association and got approval for this idea. If you’re a GPC working on certification maintenance and interested in exploring this idea, please contact me! SaraI would love to have you guest blog on the For GrantWriters Only learning blog with reviews of the books in your library ... anything related to grants or business building. Perhaps we can share books and comment knowledgeably to both one another and to the For GrantWriters Only community. We can also share our reviews on Amazon.
